Shift: Nights
Schedule Options: 36 or 48 Hours per Week
EMR: EPIC Experience Required
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift travel assignment in Bakersfield, California. The RN will provide patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support positive maternal and neonatal outcomes in a Labor & Delivery setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and ongoing evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and delivery.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
- Collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment, recovery, and discharge planning.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in EPIC.
- Delegate appropriate clinical duties and support team-based care.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, nursing standards, and patient safety requirements.
Requirements
Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Experience
- Recent Labor & Delivery experience required.
- Acute care experience preferred.
- EPIC experience required.
Education
- BSN preferred.

- Taxable Hourly Rate: $47.00
- Blended Hourly Rate: $83.36
- Overtime Rate: $70.50/hour

- Taxable Hourly Rate: $56.00
- Blended Hourly Rate: $83.42
