Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced OB Registered Nurse with strong Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, and Nursery experience. The RN will provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care in a multi-service OB unit, including labor and delivery, postpartum, nursery, antepartum, and outpatient testing services.

Required Experience

Candidates must have recent experience in ALL of the following:

• Labor & Delivery
• Postpartum Care
• Nursery/Newborn Care
• Couplet Care

Key Responsibilities

• Care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
• Manage high-risk OB cases including:
  • PIH
  • Placenta previa
  • Placenta abruption
  • Prolapsed cord
  • VBAC
  • GDM
  • PTL
  • PROM
• Monitor and perform NSTs and observation care
• Care for well babies, phototherapy patients, and special care nursery infants
• Perform neonatal and adult IV starts
• Obtain newborn PKU screenings
• Conduct neonatal and adult glucose monitoring
• Assist with newborn resuscitation, APGAR scoring, suctioning, and circumcisions
• Assist with epidural/intrathecal procedures
• Attend C-sections and provide newborn care
• Recover post C-section and BTL patients
• Administer and titrate:
  • Pitocin
  • Magnesium Sulfate
  • Insulin Drips
• Interpret and communicate fetal heart monitoring results
• Manage IUPC, ISE, Cytotec inductions, amnioinfusions, and ECV procedures
• Float to other departments as needed based on census

Required Certifications

• BLS/BCLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• STABLE

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work any assigned shift
• Must maintain 80 hours every two weeks
• Holiday coverage required
• State license obtainable upon acceptance
