Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in an Acute Neuro Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caring for patients with neurological conditions and medical-surgical needs while providing high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for acute neuro and medical-surgical patients.
• Monitor neurological status and identify changes requiring intervention.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and electronic medical records.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Adhere to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control guidelines.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the specialty.
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification required.
• Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience in an Acute Neuro or Medical/Surgical setting preferred.

Contract Details

• Travel Candidates Only
• No local candidates within 50 miles
• Radius Rule: 50 miles
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
• Overtime:
  • Daily OT after 24 hours (based on multiplier)
  • Weekly OT after 40 hours (based on multiplier)
• Compliance documentation due by Wednesday prior to Monday start date.
• Badge photo required.
