Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) to work in the Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on night shifts. Candidates must be comfortable working across multiple departments and willing to float as needed.

Requirements

• Active Washington RN License required
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
• Experience in both Med-Surg and PCU settings
• Willingness to work through the holiday season with minimal requested time off
• Certifications:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS/BCLS (Basic Life Support)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med-Surg and PCU patients.
• Assess patient needs and deliver appropriate patient/family education.
• Ensure patient safety through proper use of equipment, restraints, and safety protocols.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment used in PCU, Telemetry, and Med-Surg units.
• Follow infection control and isolation procedures using standard precautions.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Process physician orders and complete required order checks.
• Communicate effectively during shift changes and with interdisciplinary teams.
• Report critical lab values promptly according to facility policies.
• Maintain emergency carts, equipment, and unit supplies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
