Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift | 13-Week Contract
NIKTOR LLC is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nurse who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment and is flexible with floating responsibilities.
Position Details
- Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
- Job Type: Contract
- Duration: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Nights, 18:45 PM to 07:15 AM
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Coverage: Required
- Start Date: Immediate/ASAP
- EMR System: Meditech (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Monitor and document patient status accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff.
- Float to other departments as needed based on staffing requirements.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and patient safety standards.
Requirements
- Active Washington State RN License or Multi-State Compact License.
- Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- Current NIHSS certification.
- Completion of 6-hour Suicide Prevention Training (Washington requirement).
- Nursys demographic verification required.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing patient care needs and float when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with Meditech EMR.
- Travel nursing experience preferred.
- Flexible and team-oriented attitude.
