Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical/Surgical unit for a 13-week contract assignment. The Clinical Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients of all ages, applying professional nursing knowledge, clinical judgment, and evidence-based practices. The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using EMR systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Adhere to facility policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an acute care environment.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required.
• At least 2 years of recent experience in an acute care or sub-acute facility.

License

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license from any U.S. state or territory.

Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within 6 months of hire

Additional Requirements

• Active state nursing license at the time of submission.
• Holiday coverage required.
• Experience working with Allscripts EMR preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.

Housing Information

• Limited shared housing options available at $600 per month (subject to availability).
• Housing is restricted to the traveler only; no family members or pets permitted.
