Registered Nurse, Med Surg- New Port Richey, FL

A hospital in the New Port Richey, FL area is looking for an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join its team! This is a full-time night shift opportunity at an established acute care hospital.

Position Highlights

• Permanent, full-time position

• Night shift only

• Rotating weekends required

• 290-bed acute care hospital

• Level II Trauma Center

• On-site interview required

What We're Looking For

• Acute care RN experience required

• Recent LTAC experience alone does not meet the acute care requirement

• Active Florida RN license or appropriate compact nursing license

• Compact license holders must obtain a Florida RN license within 90 days of hire

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required

• BSN preferred

• American Heart Association BLS certification required

• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient care skills

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for medical-surgical patients

• Administer medications according to physician orders

• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the care team

• Educate patients and families on medications and treatment plans

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care
