Registered Nurse, Medsurg - Salisbury, MD

A healthcare organization in the Salisbury, MD area is looking for an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join its nursing team!

Position Highlights:

• Permanent, direct-hire position

• 12-hour day shifts

• Hospital-based Medical-Surgical unit

• Opportunity to work with a collaborative nursing team

• Located on Maryland's Eastern Shore

• Patient-focused acute care environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Medical-Surgical unit

• Assess patient conditions and monitor changes in health status

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders

• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans

• Monitor vital signs, document patient progress, and maintain accurate medical records

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions

• Follow established patient safety and infection prevention protocols

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with appropriate Maryland practice privileges, including a valid compact RN license

• BSN or willingness to obtain a BSN within 3 years of hire

• Active NIHSS certification or ability to obtain certification prior to hire

• Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred

• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts
