NEW Registered Nurse (RN) – Newborn Nursery | Direct Hire
Seeking an experienced Newborn Nursery RN to provide specialized care for newborns in a Level II nursery setting. This role supports a moderate-volume birth center and requires strong neonatal assessment skills, clinical judgment, and the ability to stabilize higher-acuity infants prior to transfer.
Unit Overview:

Level II Newborn Nursery
-
Approximately 900 births per year
-
Higher-acuity neonatal patients are stabilized and air-lifted to a tertiary NICU as needed
Key Responsibilities:
-
Provide nursing care to newborns requiring Level II nursery services

Perform comprehensive newborn assessments and ongoing monitoring
-
Recognize and respond to changes in neonatal condition
-
Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams for stabilization and transfer
-
Educate and support parents on newborn care and safety
-
Document care accurately in the EMR
Qualifications:
-
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
-
Experience in Newborn Nursery and/or Level II NICU required

Strong neonatal assessment and critical-thinking skills
-
Ability to function independently in higher-acuity situations
