Compensation: $ 90,000-$120,000

Position Overview
NurseAmerica is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse – Radiation Oncology to join a high-performing outpatient oncology team. This role provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing radiation and oncology-related treatments while supporting continuity of care across the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care following established clinical standards
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, labs, and psychosocial needs
- Prepare and administer therapies and medications under physician supervision
- Administer medications and blood products safely and accurately
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line devices
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and coordinate dose modifications as needed
- Provide patient and family education and psychosocial support
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
- Ensure proper consent and pre-authorization prior to treatments
- Follow OSHA and infection control guidelines when handling hazardous materials
- Assist with clinical operations, including patient flow, scheduling, triage calls, and referrals
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical research teams
- Serve as a clinical resource to LPNs and medical assistants
- Participate in ongoing professional development and oncology education
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland
- Current BLS certification
- 1–3 years of nursing experience (oncology experience preferred)
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient setting
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases, cytotoxic agents, and radiation
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Manual dexterity and coordination are required for patient care and equipment use
