Oncology Nurse Navigator
Location: Birmingham, AL (100% Remote)

Overview:
Our oncology care team is seeking a 100% Remote Oncology Nurse Navigator with strong oncology experience supporting patients. This role focuses on care coordination, symptom and side effect management, patient education, and guiding patients through diagnosis, treatment, and end-of-life care when appropriate. The position supports outpatient oncology case management Monday–Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage symptoms and side effects for oncology patients
• Provide education on diagnosis, treatment, and care planning
• Perform telephone triage and escalate concerns as needed
• Support patients through treatment, survivorship, palliative, and hospice care
• Recognize and respond to oral and IV chemotherapy-related side effects
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Document patient interactions and care coordination activities in the EHR

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 5+ years of nursing experience
• 2+ years of oncology experience within the last 4 years
• Oncology experience beyond infusion-only nursing
• Telephone triage and oncology care coordination experience
• Strong clinical, technical, and patient care skills
