Job Description
Registered Nurse, Surgical Services
Location: Suburban Community Hospital, 2701 Dekalb Pike, Norristown, PA 19401
Shift Timing: 07:00 - 15:30
Staff RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults. The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist and directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Works with other departments to provide a continuum of care and co-workers to provide continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow, and unit maintenance and organization. Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies and procedures. Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services. Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of one year of previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
- Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Pay Breakdown
Local Pay:
Total Gross for 13 weeks = $3,560 x 13 weeks = $46,280
Regular pay for 40 hours = 40 x $89 = $3,560
Travel allowance for 40 hours (40 hours max)= 40 x $0 = $
Total weekly pay for 40 hours = $3,560
Travel Pay:
Total Gross for 13 weeks = $4,280 x 13 weeks = $55,640
Regular pay for 40 hours = 40 x $62 = $2,480
Travel allowance for 40 hours (40 hours max)= 40 x $45 = $1,800
Total weekly pay for 40 hours = $4,280
