Job Title: Medical Surgical Nurse (Float)

Location: Rochester, NY

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day/Night, 3/12-hour Shifts (36 hours per week)

Hourly Rate: $65-$70 (Depending on years of experience)

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical units, including assessment, treatment, medication administration, and patient education.
• Float to different units within the hospital as needed, adapting quickly to different patient populations and care settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and best practices in nursing care.
• Participate in patient rounds, case conferences, and team meetings to facilitate continuity of care and communication.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
