Job Summary
We are seeking a team-oriented Medical-Surgical RN for our night shift. The ideal candidate is committed to patient care excellence, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and is comfortable with a 1:6 patient ratio. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical and surgical needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to adult patients on the medical-surgical unit.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately.
- Document all care provided in the electronic medical record accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Foster a positive, team-based work environment.
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license in the state of New Mexico.
- ACLS, BLS/CPR, and PALS certifications required.
- Less than one year of nursing experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends as scheduled.
