A Medical Surgical (Med Surg) Registered Nurse (RN) is needed in the Burn Unit in Bradenton, FL.

The South Florida Museum has natural and cultural history exhibits. It also encompasses the Bishop Planetarium and Parker Manatee Aquarium. The nearby Riverwalk Park stretches along the water. Galleries, studios and shops occupy colorfully restored 1920s and ‘30s cottages in the Village of the Arts

This position is with a progressive, financially stable Hospital System.

Salary and Benefits

• Hourly Rate - $30.76 -$41.50
• Sign on:
  • $10K- Days 2% is paid out on the 1st/2nd check the balance is paid out in 6 months increments
  • $15K- Nights 2% is paid out on the 1st/2nd check the balance is paid out in 6 months increments
• Night Shift diff: $4.75
• Weekends: $3
• Shifts days and nights with rotating weekends
• RELOCATION: 5K if over 500 miles and 2,500 for 100-500 miles

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Requirements

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If a compact license is held, an active FL RN license is required within 90 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Must have 1 year of RN experience preferability in a hospital setting.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
