Job Description
Our client, a 465 bed multispecialty hospital located in California's San Joaquin Valley seeks an experienced Open Heart Surgery Registered Nurse for a full time position. The hospital is home to a level 2 trauma center, cardiology and open heart surgery program, pediatrics, high risk obstetrics and a level 3 NICU, neurology including spine specialties and deep brain stimulation services.
Reporting to the Operations Coordinator/Shift Manager, the Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to adult through geriatric patient populations, and addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. He/She is responsible for monitoring the patient's physiological status in the immediate operative period, and communicates with surgeons and anesthesiologists about the patient's condition and receives direction for patient management and intercedes to maintain optimum homeostasis.
Candidate Qualifications:
Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:
- Current CA RN Licensure
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) card
- Advanced Pediatric (PALS)
- 2+ years recent operating room experience within 6 months
Education Required:
- Bachelor Degree
