Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent OR experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment while providing exceptional patient care throughout the perioperative process.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure safe patient outcomes.
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) experience required.
• Current AHA BLS Certification required.
• Current AHA ACLS Certification required.
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work day shifts, rotating schedules, and on-call assignments.

Schedule & Call Requirements

• 12-hour day shifts.
• Schedule varies, generally between 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM.
• On-call responsibilities required.

Holiday Requirements

Travelers must be available to work:

• 2 Major Holidays from:
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year's Day

AND

• 1 Minor Holiday from:
  • Day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • New Year's Eve

• Compliance documentation is due by the Wednesday prior to the start date.
• Badge photo required before onboarding.

Overtime

• Daily overtime applies after 24 hours worked.
• Weekly overtime applies after 40 hours worked.
