Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Herrin, Illinois. The RN will work in a fast-paced surgical environment and must have strong circulating experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, mental, and emotional needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Participate in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives.
• Foster a professional and positive work environment.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Recent Operating Room (OR) experience required.
• Must be able to circulate independently.
• Experience with Orthopedic, Urology, Spine, and Robotic surgeries strongly preferred.

Schedule & Call Requirements

• Four 10-hour day shifts per week.
• Call required:
  • 1 weeknight per month.
  • 2 weekend days per month.
  • Additional call may be required based on department needs.
• May float to other facilities as required.

License & Certifications

• Active Illinois RN License.
• BLS (AHA).
• ACLS.
