Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a dynamic surgical team. The OR RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process while ensuring a safe and effective surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the operating room.
- Function as a Circulating Nurse and/or Scrub Nurse during surgical procedures.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery.
- Recognize and respond to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and recovery expectations.
- Maintain operating room standards, equipment, and patient safety protocols.
- Participate in on-call coverage as required.
Requirements
- Active Washington State RN License or Multistate RN License.
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience.
- Previous experience in Operating Room and Recovery Room nursing preferred.
- Active BLS/CPR Certification (American Heart Association).
- Active ACLS Certification.
- Active PALS Certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
