Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)
Contract Length: 16 Weeks
Shift: 8-Hour Day Shifts
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Candidate Type: Travel Only

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in an outpatient surgery setting. The ideal candidate will have strong recent OR experience and be comfortable working across a wide variety of surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Follow all facility policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience within the specialty.
• Strong experience in multiple surgical specialties, including:
  • Robotics
  • Neurosurgery
  • Orthopedics
  • Plastic Surgery
  • Gynecology
  • Prostate Biopsy Procedures
• Heavy experience in Gynecology, Plastics, and Prostate Biopsy cases preferred.

Required Certifications

• Active RN License
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Additional Requirements

• Travel candidates only.
• Local candidates living within 50 miles are not eligible.
• Compliance documentation must be completed by the Wednesday prior to the start date.
• Badge photo required.

Holiday Requirements

Travelers must work:

• 2 Major Holidays out of:
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year's Day

AND

• 1 Minor Holiday out of:
  • Day After Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • New Year's Eve

Compensation

• Weekly Gross Pay: $2,487
• Weekly Taxable: $1,360
• Weekly Non-Taxable: $1,127
• Hourly Taxable Rate: $34.00
• Hourly Blended Rate: $62.18
