NURSE DIRECTOR – BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

SALARY AND COMPENSATION: $110K-$130K + 4K Sign-On Bonus

OVERVIEW:

Our client hospital located in Salem; NJ is seeking a strong NURSE DIRECTOR OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH. As the Behavioral Health Nurse Director your responsibilities will include leadership of the clinical, educational, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all components of Behavioral Health Services located in the hospital. These will include Detox and inpatient and outpatient service lines.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing and coordinating the daily administration of clinical
  • Responsibility for the patient population and assigned staff.
  • Planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the unit activities.
  • Providing direction, support, and guidance to the clinical nurse managers and aiding in their development both clinically and managerially. The Nurse Director has 24-hour accountability for the unit.
  • Primary responsibilities include staff supervision, planning treatment programs, developing program policies and procedures, assigning program staff, ensuring that all programs are administered in accordance with hospital philosophy, policies and procedures, government regulations, and specific contract agreements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSN Required.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ supervisory or management experience in a Behavioral Health / hospital environment is required. 5 or more years of experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Detox, substance abuse and dual diagnosis of patients strongly preferred.
