Responsibilities:

Administration and management of Nursing Services to residents by orders of the physicians and the total needs of the residents.
As the DON, you will be responsible for 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services and will direct the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care by current Federal, State, and Company standards, guidelines, and regulations.
In the absence of the Administrator, the Director of Nursing (DON) assumes the responsibility for center operations.
The position conducts the nursing process – assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation – under the scope of the State’s Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure.

Requirements:

Iowa state RN license.
ASN or BSN.
Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred; at least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience is required.
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of recent, relevant experience.
Excellent written & verbal communication
