Job Summary
Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of compassionate, high-quality patient care on an Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR) unit. Using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation), you will provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and patient/family teaching; communicate pertinent information to the care team; and help identify and implement solutions when patient goals vary from plan.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver and oversee evidence-based nursing care for a diverse IPR caseload.

Conduct thorough assessments; develop individualized care plans and patient/family education.

Coordinate interdisciplinary care and communicate changing patient needs to the team.

Document timely and accurately in the EMR; ensure safe handoffs.

Support safe patient mobility, transfers, and ADL training consistent with rehab goals.

Participate in quality/safety initiatives; escalate concerns and contribute to solutions.
Required Qualifications

Active RN license in the state of practice.

BLS certification (AHA or equivalent).

Proficiency with the full nursing process, patient/family education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Strong documentation, time-management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Prior inpatient rehab (IPR) experience.
-
ACLS certification.
-
Experience with safe patient handling/transfer techniques; willingness to complete an 8-hour transfer training class.

EMR proficiency.
Schedule & Expected Hours
-
Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours).

Day (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.) or Night (7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.); weekends/holidays as needed based on unit staffing.
