Registered Nurse — Intermediate Care / Step Down

Specialty: Intermediate Care / Step Down
Location: Atlanta, GA 30342
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Job Type: Travel Contract
Start Date: September 9, 2026
End Date: December 12, 2026

Requirements

  • 2+ years of recent Intermediate Care / Step Down experience
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • NIHSS preferred

Patient Population

  • Intermediate-acuity medical patients
  • High-risk respiratory patients
  • Cardiac/thoracic surgery
  • Hepatobiliary surgery
  • Head and neck surgery
  • Patients requiring care ranging from room air to BiPAP or Optiflow

Additional Details

  • Holiday coverage required: 2 major + 1 minor holiday
  • Compliance due Wednesday before Monday start
  • Badge photo required
  • Daily OT after 24 hours
  • Weekly OT after 40 hours
  • No local candidates within 50 miles
