My client, a 300 bed community facility located about 45 minutes from Greenville, NC and about 50 minutes from Raleigh has a need for Med Surg RNs to join their team. NEW GRADS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY!!! The shifts are all 12 hr shifts and they have day and night shifts available. The Med Surg Dept has 85 beds.
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Manager, Nursing Services, and according to established policies and procedures, coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient/family advocate, and works with other nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Work is of a very confidential nature. Performs other duties of the department as required.
Education, Training and Experience
Graduation from a Nursing Education program and current NC or multistate RN licensure required. The employee must have the ability to understand, communicate and react effectively to the unique needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. CPR certification required and provided. ACLS is required or must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire.
Our vibrant community, with its award-winning revitalized downtown, offers festivals, outdoor concerts, historic walking tours, porch tours and events for the whole family. Within the County there is fishing, hiking, boating, great golf antiquing and historic sites. A large lake nearby covers 2183 acres of water, 1850 acres of land and is host to many triathlons and boat racing events. A mild climate is a favorable factor in the life of here. The annual average temperature is 60.8 degrees. There is little or no snowfall in winter and summer nights are usually pleasant. The City has a population of approximately 42,000 and the county population is approximately 72,000. New subdivisions in the suburbs are constantly being developed, therefore population in these areas is growing more rapidly than that in the inner city. We are about 45 minutes east of Raleigh and about 45 minutes west of Greenville and only about 100 miles from the Coast!!
Our starting salary is $23/hr for new grads and we give 2% credit per year of experience. We have $5k sign-on bonus for experienced nurses with at least 2 years’ experience and 2 year commitment. Relocation will be considered for highly critical areas (2 year commitment). Bonus paid for BSN degrees, too.
Shift Diffs are: Eves $2.50/hr, Nights $3.40/hr, weekend days $8.00/hr, weekend nights $10.25/hr.
