Job Description
Under the supervision of a radiologist and the guidance of the administrator, the Multi-Modality Technician performs imaging procedures using general radiographic equipment and one additional modality. This role encompasses various responsibilities, including ensuring adherence to imaging protocols, recognizing anatomical structures, providing exceptional customer service, and compliance with hospital and department policies. Proficiency in using the Radiology Information System (RIS) for patient records and result dissemination is essential.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform routine radiographic examinations with expertise and precision.
- Demonstrate proficiency in at least one additional modality, such as Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, CT scan, Quality Assurance, Bone Density, or MRI.
Education:
- Current NH Board of Medical Imaging licensure as a Radiographer and, if applicable, in any other modality as required.
- Maintain a valid New Hampshire (NH) license for Radiography and any other required modalities.
- Preferred certification in additional modalities performed.
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program with a minimum of an Associate's Degree.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T).
- Membership in a professional organization is preferred.
- Maintain current CPR certification.
- Maintain professional development by obtaining 24 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) every two years for re-certification.
