Job Description
We are currently seeking a Locums Anesthesiologist - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team. This position offers a wide variety of cases, including general surgery, orthopedics, GI-endoscopy, ophthalmology, healthy pediatrics, urology, robotics, OB/GYN, bariatrics, vascular, cardiac ablations, interventional radiology, neuro-interventional radiology, neuro, and bronchoscopy. Please note that trauma and cardiac cases are not included.
The average monthly case volume is 1,800, with an average of 325 OB deliveries per month. Our EMR system is Meditech, and we operate under a care team model with 25 CRNAs and 19 MDs.
Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, including general surgery, orthopedics, GI-endoscopy, ophthalmology, healthy pediatrics, urology, robotics, OB/GYN, bariatrics, vascular, cardiac ablations, interventional radiology, neuro-interventional radiology, neuro, and bronchoscopy.
- Perform pre-operative assessments and collaborate with the surgical team to develop individualized anesthesia plans.
- Administer anesthesia using various techniques, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical procedure.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, adjust anesthesia levels as needed, and respond to emergencies.
- Document anesthesia care accurately and maintain complete and detailed patient records.
Schedule:
- Preferred shift: Five 8-hour shifts.
- Additional shift options include 12-hour shifts, 10-hour shifts, 14-hour shifts, and 16-hour shifts.
- Call shifts: Weekday beeper from 3:30 pm to 7 am; Weekend call from 7 am to 7 am (24 hours). It is preferred that candidates take at least one call shift per month.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license.
- Board certification as a CRNA.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
