Job Description
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed for full-time coverage with PA Dept of Corrections in Somerset, PA (1.5 hours east of Pittsburgh)
- Minimum security male facility
- ASAP – Ongoing, initial 3-month commitment
- Full-time 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8a – 4:30p
- Treating patients in Medical unit, providers do NOT treat inmates in cells
- Roughly 20 patients per day
- Basic Primary Care duties, sick/well visits, physicals, some hypertension/diabetes with the older patients, should be comfortable performing light trauma such as sutures
- Working with physician, full support staff, mid-levels, Medical Assistants
- Facility uses EMR, will provide training
