Job Description

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (Administrative Patient Care Support)

Specialty:
Focused on Primary Care with an emphasis on Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, exclusively for adult patients.

Responsibilities:
As a Nurse Practitioner in this role, you'll primarily handle administrative tasks to support patient care efficiently. Collaborating closely with physicians and mid-level providers, your duties include medication management, reviewing and interpreting lab results, responding to patient inquiries, updating patient charts with specialist referral notes, and delivering preventive, routine, and acute care support.

Qualifications:

State Licensure:
Hold a valid Georgia State Nurse Practitioner License specializing in family or adult medicine.

Certifications:
Obtain Specialty Board Certification as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner, alongside national board certification. Certification through AANP or ANCC is required.

Education:
Possess a Master's Degree in Nursing or a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited nurse practitioner program.

Experience:
Have at least three years of experience in primary care, specifically in Internal Medicine or Family Practice. Proficiency in Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding guidelines is necessary, along with experience in using EMR systems like EClinicalWorks and dictation tools like Medical Dragon One.

Skills:
Demonstrate strong clinical skills for independent work and excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient-centered care and effective collaboration with the healthcare team.

Operational Details & Scheduling:
Work full-time within a flexible 4.5-day schedule, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No work on weekends or major holidays. Manage a patient volume of 2 new or 3 established patients per hour, with minimal on-call responsibilities (phone calls only).
