About the POSITION
A Family Nurse Practitioner is needed to join a well-established Rural Health Clinic located in a close-knit northern Maine community. This clinic, part of a long-standing regional health system, provides comprehensive primary and preventive care to residents across several small towns in the area. Schedule & Structure

Monday–Friday only (no Saturdays).

Clinicians may select shorter shifts over five days or longer shifts within a four-day workweek, depending on preference.
Patient Volume & Visit Types
Providers typically see 10–16 patients per day, with volume varying based on visit type:

Days closer to 16 visits usually involve acute care for established patients (e.g., earaches, rashes, minor illnesses).

Days averaging 10 visits often include comprehensive physicals, annual wellness visits, or new patient visits.
The clinic uses 15-, 30-, 45-, and 60-minute appointment slots to match visit length with patient needs.

About the COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Maine allows FNPs to practice independently after 24 months of supervised practice, and compensation reflects experience and level of autonomy.
