Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Primary Care

About the Position

A well-established, nonprofit community health organization is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its primary care team serving the Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania area.

This organization is one of the larger Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) networks in Pennsylvania, with a history spanning more than 40 years. The network operates nearly 50 health center locations throughout Pennsylvania and northeastern Ohio and employs a large multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists, behavioral health professionals, and other healthcare providers. Its mission centers on expanding access to high-quality, compassionate healthcare, particularly within rural and medically underserved communities.

The NP or PA will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, offering an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys family medicine, continuity of care, and developing long-term relationships with patients and families.

As an FQHC, the organization provides comprehensive healthcare to the communities it serves, including patients who may otherwise experience barriers to accessing care.

Location & Schedule

The position serves the Sandy Lake/Greenville area of Mercer County in western Pennsylvania. The health system maintains established primary care locations throughout Mercer County, including Sandy Lake, Greenville, Mercer, Farrell, Sharon, Transfer, and surrounding communities.

Schedule:

  • Monday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Qualifications

  • Current DEA license or ability to obtain one
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Ability to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and compassionate medical care with appropriate independence
  • Interest in providing primary care across the lifespan
