About the LOCATION:
Located in Queens NY
About the GROUP:
Group is New York City’s largest provider of primary healthcare services to families living in family shelters and domestic violence safe houses, providing more than 61,000 patient visits annually.
About the POSITION:
- FNP or PA for outpatient clinics
- The main clinic is open: Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5.30pm / Friday 8am – 5pm
- Full scope primary care
- Will see a lot of women and children who are in the shelter, trying to get their lives back
- Also see regular community health patients
- Medical exams and preventive care screenings
- Sick and urgent care visits
- Physicals and immunizations required for school and employment
- Lab/bloodwork
- Gynecological exams, pregnancy testing, and prenatal care referrals
- Vision, hearing, tuberculosis, and lead screenings
- Management of chronic health issues such as asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, and sexually transmitted diseases
- Cardiology
