Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and board-certified Locum Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner to join our team in providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population in Indiana. This temporary position offers the opportunity to work within a 7 on/7 off block schedule, providing 24-hour coverage alongside a team of physicians and advanced practice providers.
Compensation: $100 Per Hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to mainly adult and elderly patients, with approximately 15% being pediatric.
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and develop and implement treatment plans.
- Work 12-hour shifts, with 12-hour shifts for APP coverage.
- Respond to codes and emergencies within the hospital.
- Navigate the Meditech EMR system for accurate documentation.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transitions of care.
Qualifications:
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification.
- Current and unrestricted licensure to practice in Indiana.
- ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications.
- DEA registration.
- Strong clinical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
