Dates Needed May-August:
--May: Three 24 hour shifts, One 5 hour shift, One 8 hour shift
--June: Four 24 hour shifts, Two 8 hour shifts,
--July: Six 24 hour shifts, Five 8 hour shifts
--August: Four 24 hour shifts, Two 8 hour shifts, Once 4 hour shift
--September-November needs: Five 24 hours shifts every two weeks
--December needs: Three 24 hour shifts every two weeks

Details/Requirements Assignment #102042:
--Practice Setting: NICU
--Reason for Coverage: Vacancies
--Collaborate with supervising Neonatologists to coordinate patient care for high-risk newborn population
--Manage well and critically ill infants using a family-centered approach
--Majority of patients born at this facility, some transported from region by neonatal transport team or through emergency department after discharge
--Neonatal program serves well newborns (0-2 per day) and NICU patients (levels 2 and 3) with total average daily census 12-14
--Neonatal nurse practitioner shifts are 24 hours in-house, with 3 shifts every 2 weeks for full-time employment
--Neonatologist support available 24/7, not in-house
--Lead robust neonatal transport team covering 150 mile radius, using ambulance, helicopter, or fixed wing airplane
--NICU capabilities include care for all gestational ages, various ventilation methods, central line management, retinopathy of prematurity exams, and standard diagnostic services
--Common procedures include intubation, surfactant administration, chest tube placement, IV access, arterial blood sampling, lumbar punctures, and resuscitation
--Daily multidisciplinary rounds with patient’s family and various healthcare professionals promote family-centered care
--Pediatric surgical services, ECMO, inhaled nitric oxide therapy, and therapeutic hypothermia not available at this facility, requiring transfer to level 4 NICU
