Oncology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Locums Job in California | ASAP Start and Ongoing

Coverage needed as soon as credentialed and ongoing.

Assignment Details/Requirements:
--NP/PA certification required
--California State License
--DEA
--Clean Malpractice preferred
--Radiation Tx experience preferred
--APP to work closely with Radiation Oncologists to prepare history and physical health of patients prior to consultation for radiation treatments. Assessment of patient, treatment recommendations, follow up consultations.
--Duties: Review medical records and prepare a consultation note prior to patients' visit to the Cancer Center. Coordinate follow up care and services including imaging, medications, further testing. support patients' medical needs during treatment in coordination with the physician and staff nursing. Manage follow up visits post treatment and coordinate care.
--Admissions per day: no admissions - we do 8-10 new consultations per week
--Patients/day: average 1-2 consults and 2-3 follow ups per day
--Types of cases: all Cancer types in need of radiation therapy
