Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Locums Radiology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our SurgOnc/Breast Care department in Burlington, VT. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing care to patients at high risk of developing breast cancer, with a strong emphasis on assessment, diagnosis, and management. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with no trauma level of work. The position involves providing care for patients at high risk of developing breast cancer, including those with a strong family history, personal history, or genetic mutations. Duties include seeing patients in a clinic setting, conducting assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, providing possible nurse practitioner visits (NPVs), and managing follow-up patient care.
Burlington, Vermont, located in the northwestern part of the state, is a picturesque city known for its stunning views of Lake Champlain and the nearby Green Mountains.
Certifications Required:
- For Nurse Practitioners (NP): American Academy for Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)
- For Physician Assistants (PA): NCCPA Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (for both NP and PA)
