Job Description
Psychiatrist and Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our inpatient team in Sierra Vista, AZ. The new Inpatient Adult Behavioral Health Unit opened in May 2015. The inpatient unit has 19 beds, which includes 15 dedicated adult beds and 4 dedicated geriatric beds. Clinical responsibilities include new admissions, daily patient care on inpatient unit, evaluation and management of psychiatric patients on the inpatient unit and providing psychiatric consults for medical-surgical patients. Candidate must be willing to work in a collaborative environment on the unit with treatment professionals that include: RNs, Behavioral Health Techs, Social Workers, and Activity Therapist. Call responsibilities will be shared with our Psychiatry Medical Director and other Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner but will be supplemented with Tele-Psych services. There are plans to open an outpatient practice in the future, so a desire for and inpatient and outpatient practice is preferred.
