(Archived) Psych NP needed in Phoenix, AZ

About the POSITION:

PMHNP needed in FQHC

MUST have an AZ license in hand

M - F 8zm - 5pm or 9am - 6pm or 4-10's could be discussed

Must see all ages (preferable 6+)

Must be used to seeing approx 40 pats/week independently - so 15-20 pats/day.

Group works with non-SMI, outpatient patients, though many have dual-diagnosis/comorbid/complex conditions. We do not have a MAT program, currently. Group providers do not prescribe pain management medications, but do prescribe some controlled substances (i.e. stimulants, benzos, etc.)

Group schedules 20 or 30-minute follow-up appointments (per provider preference) and 60-minute psych. eval. appointments.

They do receive approximately 10 after-hours calls/annually that are related to psych, so there may be some call rotation.

Will utilize 1-2 days of training for orientation, EHR, and workflow training, plus setup & hands-on practice in the EHR system, prior to seeing patients (for locum providers).

Group employs one MA for the Psych. Program and one Case Manger for the Psych. Program. Roughly 80% of all BHD patient visits are via telephone-only. Most patients do not have access to stable (or any) internet, but can be requested to come into the office for their remote visit, if necessary.

Ideally someone who is already contracted with the major commercial insurance companies, as well as all AHCCCS Complete Care Plans and Medicare

Patients are currently seen through a mix of in-office, telehealth, and telephonic-only visits.

We do require full vaccination status (including COVID-19) for all employees, prior to starting.
