Job Description
- Work Dates Needed: Starting as soon as credentialed for an ongoing contract.
- Preferred Schedule: 24/7 service coverage spread amongst 7-8 APPs, shifts are 7a-5p, 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 7p-7a or any mix thereof depending on staffing needs, plus call.
- Worksite Setting: Inpatient/Hospital, Patients Per Day: 15-20, cases a day: 7-8, 450 bed hospital.
- Scope of Work: Nurse Practitioner-Vascular Surgery, Patient Population: Adult, geriatric, round on 3-5 patients/day individually, Inpatient medical management/rounding. Must be comfortable with medical management (diabetes, hypertension, acute illness) as well as pre and post operative vascular surgical care, first assisting in OR for about 5 surgeons. Vascular surgery only, no cross-specialty coverage. Must be comfortable with open vascular cases (peripheral bypass, carotid surgery, AV fistula creation, open abdominal aortic surgery). No IR procedures but bedside procedures may include suturing, permcath removal, wound vacs, dressing changes/wound care.
- Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: Active NY State License, BLS, ACLS, AANP, ANCC, DEA, must have RNFA 2-3 years vascular surgery experience, if worked in cardiac surgery that also cross covered vascular surgery client would be open to candidate.
- EMR: Epic.
- Pay Rate Preferred: $140/hr
