Job Description
Seeking a Locums Family Nurse Practitioner to practice in a fast-paced Urgent Care setting? Our facilities, equipped with advanced resources and electronic medical records systems, are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team. Even new and recent graduates will be considered, provided they have relevant fellowship or residency training in an ER surgical setting.
Our clinics are open late, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with shifts ranging from daytime (8 AM - 4 PM) to evening (4 PM - 11 PM and 5 PM - 11 PM) and spread across our 4 clinic locations.
Compensation: $60.00 to $70.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and conduct appropriate physical examinations.
- Obtain relevant medical history.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, review laboratory or radiologic studies, and assess the patient's medical, physical, and psychological status.
- Formulate accurate diagnoses and include appropriate differential diagnoses.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication orders, additional testing, consultations with other providers, and follow-up provisions.
- Provide patient care and treatment plans with a focus on safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform procedures within your expertise, such as I&D’s and basic suturing/laceration repair.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on their treatment plans, disease prevention, and health promotion.
- Document all examination data, diagnostic impressions, codes, and other patient care activities in medical records.
- Bill for services provided.
- Conduct telemedicine visits as necessary.
- Manage lab results.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations.
- Completion of a recognized FNP program.
- Certification in Colorado is required.
- Maintain DEA certification and full prescribing and dispensing privileges in Colorado.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
- Experience with basic suturing/laceration repair.
- Comfortable treating patients of all age groups.
