Job Description
We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Locums Urgent Care Physician Assistants (PAs) or Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to provide immediate healthcare services in New Haven County, Connecticut. These full-time locum tenens positions offer the opportunity to work consistently and provide continuity of care at standalone Urgent Care centers within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide urgent care services to a diverse patient population.
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and develop treatment plans.
- Independently manage and treat a wide range of acute medical conditions and injuries.
- Collaborate with Rad Techs, MAs, and support staff to ensure efficient patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Regional coverage, working at multiple Urgent Care center locations within the region.
- Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM to 8PM, Weekend hours 9AM to 5PM or 8AM to 8PM (depending on location).
- Average patient load: 40-45 patients per 12-hour shift.
- Each center has Rad Techs and MAs, plus support staff.
Qualifications:
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification.
- Current and unrestricted licensure to practice in Connecticut.
- Minimum of 2 years of Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience.
- Strong clinical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
