(Archived) Outpatient Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Adult Neurology Fall River, MA

We have an immediate opening for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an adult Neurology office. The Neurology Division is comprised of five physicians and a Nurse Practitioner, but this position is in the office of one neurologist. The NP/PA would work in an office setting on Mon-Fri from 8:30 am–4:30 pm with no hospital, weekend, or night duties. Responsibilities include patient examination and evaluation, ordering and evaluating diagnostic studies, and patient education. He/she would be supervised by an experienced Neurologist who maintains a busy office practice. Laboratory, CT, MRI, EEG and EMG are on-site, and we have an accredited Sleep Lab. The candidate is not assumed to be proficient in procedures but must be familiar with the neurological examination and major disease entities.

The NP/PA must be licensed in Massachusetts, with a valid Drug Enforcement Agency certificate, and a valid Massachusetts controlled substances registration. Experience in Neurology is desirable, as is a willingness to learn the essentials of this specialty. Familiarity with Portuguese is valuable, but not required. Exceptional new graduates will be considered, but experience in office practice and neurology are desirable.
