(Archived) Diabetes Education Coordinator Full-Time Days, Brockton, MA
Job Description
We are searching
for an RN Diabetes Education Coordinator to oversee the planning,
implementation and evaluation of the Hospital’s Diabetes Self-Management
Program. Ensures that high quality diabetic education is delivered through a
coordinated and systematic program. Provides a variety of patient education
activities, outreach and staff education.
Works with key stakeholders to provide current information and support
patient choice and options. Ability to
solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations
where only limited standardization may exist. Ability to interpret a variety of
instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to reasonably make appropriate
judgment in communications and actions with patients, physicians, other
associates, outside agencies, and vendors.
Must be able to work independently to maintain daily operations of
program and work to make enhancements as needed to assure the highest quality
program and content.
Details:
- Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing with appropriate Massachusetts licensure.
- Must be a Certified Diabetic Educator (CDE).
- Must have at least 1 year experience as a CDE working in the acute care setting.
- Experience with Meditech preferred.
- Ability to use Microsoft office products preferred.
