Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our team at one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States. The Radiology department plays a vital role in our pediatric care, offering a complete range of sedated and nonsedated diagnostic imaging procedures for major and minor pediatric surgery, disease, or injury.

Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic procedures and related techniques using X-ray energy to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Collaborate with licensed practitioners to accurately position and expose patients for radiographic examinations
- Exercise professional judgment and adhere to medical ethics while performing radiologic services
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and cooperation during the procedure by providing appropriate care and explanation of the process
- Apply radiation safety principles and techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards
- Evaluate radiographic images for quality, technical accuracy, and diagnostic value
- Assist in the maintenance of patient records and documentation related to radiographic procedures
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
- Participate in quality improvement activities and adhere to departmental policies and procedures
- Stay updated with the latest advances in radiologic technology, techniques, and research through ongoing education and professional development
Qualifications:
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a radiologic technologist
- State licensure or eligibility to obtain state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (if applicable)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience in a pediatric setting is preferred
- Proficient in performing a variety of radiographic procedures, including general radiography, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and ability to apply them effectively
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to radiographic imaging
- Successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, compliance with the U.S. Government Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification
