Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States. As a leading provider of comprehensive care from before birth through young adulthood, we are committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services to children. The Ultrasound Technologist will play a vital role in our diagnostic team, providing high-quality ultrasound imaging services to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of our pediatric patients.
Compensation: $62,504.00 - $106,288. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Retirement and more.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound examinations using sonographic equipment to generate images for diagnostic or treatment purposes
- Demonstrate and accurately identify anatomical structures and abnormalities in the acquired images
- Collaborate with licensed practitioners to perform ultrasound-guided interventions as requested
- Exercise professional judgment and adhere to medical ethics while performing ultrasound procedures
- Provide age-appropriate patient care, ensuring the comfort and safety of pediatric patients during the examination
- Obtain and record patient history, relevant clinical information, and preliminary findings
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of ultrasound images and related documentation
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Stay updated with the latest advances in ultrasound technology, techniques, and research through ongoing education and professional development
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a Committee of Allied Health Education Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited sonography program or equivalent
- Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) is required
- State licensure or eligibility to obtain state licensure as an Ultrasound Technologist (if applicable)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience in a pediatric setting is preferred
- Proficient in performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, and musculoskeletal
- Successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, compliance with the U.S. Government Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification
