The Radiology Manager responsibilities include managing, supervising and maintaining all components of the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archive Computer System (PACS).? Organizing installations/up-grades and coordinating training sessions for all users of the RIS/PACS and other related systems and providing statistical reports, QA and systems analysis to Radiology and Hospital Administration.
Compensation: $95,000
Responsibilities Include:
Maintain the daily function of the Radiology Department RIS/PACS and Connect systems; maintain basic care of all system components.
Manage, maintain records and report examination/dictation status to Radiology Administration.
Provide and coordinate training and on-going support to staff within Radiology and individuals outside Radiology (i.e. referring clinicians, and services) utilizing data query (PACS web product).
Radiology liaison to MIS Department.
Monitor and trouble-shoot all RIS systems, and maintain records as to preventive maintenance and repair schedules and activities.
Evaluate new technology; software advances, provide information, perform or implement system upgrades as indicated.
Supervise activities and evaluate RIS/PACS staff.
Monitor systems for unread exams.
Monitor and maintains the dose management reporting software (Nexodose).
Ensure QA on all PACS monitors are completed as required.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to computer or information science, preferred.
Minimum two (2) years in Information Systems Administration or the equivalent.
Previous PACS management experience preferred.
